Land degradation is a growing and devastating problem in Ethiopa. Many great efforts must be made to slow the rapid advancement of this severe land loss. Land degradation is mainly caused by "rapid population increase, severe soil loss, deforestation, low vegetative cover, and unbalanced crop and livestock production" (Taddese). It is of dire importance to increase awareness on this escalating issue that is harming many valuable resources throughout Ethiopia.
